What you will realise as you look through the pages of this site or talk to people at game fairs etc is that folk make wild claims that those who have been around a bit know is complete bollocks.....ignore your friend, smile and carry on.

if any of my dogs were chasing @ i wouldnt call them back and( b.) ;) if i did i would be very dissapointed if they stoped and came back

Why i would call that a well trained bog save alot of accidents as catcher 1 says come in handy atb

any dog that is distracted by a call back mid chase imo aint worth a carrott its heart aint in it it may well be handy but maybe ive been doing it all wrong ive only been doing it for 40 years so im still learning ;)

we are all still learning mate learn something every day ive been working dogs for 35 years never seen it done myself but as i says i personly think it would be handy but maybe im wrong

The only time I've been able to do it was with a little Beardie/Grey, and only if she'd not yet got into her stride: used to stop her on hares if we were out foxing and waiting for a fox to come out of cover: hares would come out first and she'd put a stride or two in, but stop when I shouted her: but I'm also damn sure that she only stopped because she knew we were waiting for foxes, which she loved much more. :D But mid course? Never in a million years.
