To be honest, i have enough trouble getting my dog to hear my voice when he is in even vague proximity to game, let a lone, once it's sighted. Although its a good test,if he has his noseto the ground and totally ignoresme when i call him, chances are within the next 5 mns you will see a run. But once it's up, he just completely goes deaf and dumb to anything else. Only dogs i could imagne being able to do it without it hidering would be collie x's. I'm sure it could be done, but only to the detrement of the dogs working ability, as it will always ben half waiting to hear the command to stop. If that makes sense?

Mind you, unlike most others on here, i wouldnt mnd having a dog that could be called off mid chase at all, as long is its working ability was good, as in todays climate it could be handy, as i realy love day work, and thats often leads to 'issues' haha.,

Why would any one want to stop there dog mid course

If you slip the dog you should know the land your working

So I can't see any reason anyone would stop there

Dog mid run

spot on

I can think of two good reasons.
