WILF 46,490
I would say it depends on the dog ability and style.....if the dog is outstanding but it's style says it may not live long then take a mating earlier......if its ordinary you may not want to take a mating at all and just look for something new from better stuff when the time comes 2 Quote Link to post
Guest thebigdog
if you have to ask, you have no business breeding. 2 Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Why say that "the big dog"? The lad might have an outstanding lurcher who's 2/3 years old but not got mates in the game and doesn't spend half his live on web sites and forums. Maybe he just wants to know what is considered a reasonable age to breed. And if it's only 2 but he wants a pup then let the lad crack on. Plenty of bell ends breed pups year round for the pure reason of ££ so of a genuine lad wants a pup from his dog no matter what the age then he should be able to without criticism IMO. He may be a complete arse, I don't know the lad, but sometimes people are too quick to shoot someone down. Atb. Gaz 2 Quote Link to post
