Balls. Sorry, John. Just e mailed Christie ~ the person with the PDF ~ and their Mailer's dead.

Don't give up hope yet though. I have a couple more angles to try yet. If it's findable, I'll do my damndest to find it. I'm off now to ask if anyone else on the forum it was posted on kept a copy.

Failing that, I'll phone a friend. I know a 'Data Junkie' who probably has to buy whole new computers to store all her stuff on. Be just like her to have stashed it away somewhere ;)

Sorry Ditch,Didnt mean to put yoy to any trouble :)

still an interesting topic though,i sometimes wonder about the timing of innoculations,i had a young lurcher jabbed many years ago which went on to manifest some symptoms of an epilectic nature,at the time distemper was prevalent then, before parvo reared it's ugly head and things began to look seriously out of control with the pup,we decided the pup wasn't going to make it so ended the pup's life, when i think back,

i wonder if anything could be done, diseases are invisible, symptons are larger than life,i forget the time scales and time lapses between jabs now,but i wonder whether timing had a part to play or if a virus was

contracted between the two week interval.....

Higgins.

the vet tolld me 12 weeks because they grow out if tu if done before thwt... fhats whT i was told anywy

 Had a 'Long Night' have we, mate? ( :drink: );) Anyway, from what I Think I could decipher from that; Your vet and I seem to be on the same wave length.

John; No trouble at all, mate. I've just checked the original forum though and, as yet, no response to my shout. It may all rest with my friend now. I genuinely wish to rediscover this doccumentation for my own mind. Aside from the fact that presenting it once more will save me looking a bit of a naana, it's simply a bloody good read and teaches the patient reader an awful lot about vaccines per se.

lads just a wee comparrison when a calf or dog is feeding from its mother, the colostrum or first milk, is supplying the newborn with all the antibodies to fight infection, friendly bacteria start of the immunity, and build from there, differing vaccines will have differing times for the jabs,

My 'Data Junky' friend came through, John! :clapper: In fact, just minutes ago I sent a copy to Ian, the site owner, with a view to him ~ if agreeable ~ Sticking it to the top of this board. If he does that, it'll be permanently and freely available to anyone why cares enough to Read it's Twenty Three pages of Hard, Scientificly Cited Facts! :good:

Stand by and keep everything crossed!

The Yorkshire bloke I got my Pat from said to get him jabbed at 11 weeks old.

He's had his first neelde friday just gone, he's got his next one in two weeks then three weeks after that the vet recommended another booster for Parvo because he said theres been quite a few cases of it lately.

Very interesting reading that one Ditch - and I have now read every word of the document - as well as a bit of other reading I have done on the 'non-core' immunisations (Borda/Lepto etc).

It has certainly made my mind up what is right for my dogs, for now and in future.

Thanks for the effort it took to get hold of the document - it was well worth it

Glad ye found it of use, Old. Does take someone with an attention span beyond that of a goldfish to utilise it, I freely state. But for those with the willingness of application, it's all there, isn't it?

We'll still see those who follow their local white coats advice as gospel, 'mind. Fools and money ~ sheep and goats ....?

Well, I've done my bit. Down to the individual now.

i have a few friends that are vets and they'd tell you that most people wouldn't thank them for not giving the booster jabs, whatever the evidence.if the dog or cat died from any illness they'd get the blame.

i do my own jabs and have never given boosters.owners of working livestock are not of the same mindset as the general public.

SporryI know this topic has been discussed at length but i wonder if any of you would know why a pup sometimes gets reaction to a jag. Took 2 of the litter at 8wks to get there 1st jag. Bitch pup was fine but dog pup develped a hard lump after. Was sore for a couple days. Is is a reaction to actual vaccine or is it just cos he's sensitive to the process of being jagged? I know i shouldve asked vet today when they had there 2nd jag but totally forgot. cheers
