collie crosses v,s deerhound crosses

Recommended Posts

lot of years ago i had a decent deerhound x greyhound. This dog hated fox,s with a passion.would kill 2 to 3 a night every week.now at the same time my hunting partner had a collie x greyhound that would only do foxes doubled up.now over the years i have had nearly all crosses for the fox job and still have,nt really came across a good single handed collie cross for the foxes.all preban of course.my question is the collie crosses are basically brilliant rabbit dogs and some have a bit of bottle or do you have to use the right collie to produce fox dogs? don,t want to start a mass slagging match its just a topic that me and my friend can,t see eye to eye on.

As soon as you put 2 or 3 a night every week i lost interest, why don,t you and your friend find something else more worthwhile to discuss, girls, boys, football or beer.

ive seen collie crosses take charlie regular but wern't great rabbit dogs and ive seen deerhound crosses take 50 rabbits a night that wouldn't touch charlie you get good and bad in all types unless you pay 600 quid for a blue whippet that can do it all

it was an old fashioned argument between 2 old boys and 2 old dogs 1 was deerhound x and 1 was collie x and i thought deerhound was beter than collie x for foxes simlpe..single handed. and i stand by i don,t think single handed collie criossess can do the job.

You only have to look at previous threads to get the information your looking for , instead of asking the frequently asked questions...sort of, there's whoppers thatl do fox..and there the smallest out of the dogs..then there's some bigger dogs that won't..u can get two Asians..one that can fight like a f****r and one that rather dress up in women's clothing ..same thing as dogs..just cos one cross uv seen doesn't do it, doesnt mean Jo blogs collie x won't lol
