barrywhite 282
Dont bother .A well tuned good quality spring is better.A spring as the add says may loose power from the start but the gasrams loose air .The guarantee is six mounths I think for gasrams I wonder why. They do shoot well for a short time and you have to chop your gun about a little to fit it nice .You have been warned I was but like the bloke in the clint eastwood film IZ GOT TO KNOW . andyfr1968 772
I fitted a ram to my own Lightning and it did improve the rifle a little. Smoother and quieter to shoot and I never had any problems in the three years I had the gun. Sold it to a mate a couple of years ago and it's still going fine. As said above though, they aren't 100% reliable and if a retro-fitted kit leaks, it's fecked. They can't be re-filled. That said, your mate will still have a Lightning so it'll still be pretty shitty compared to most of it's German rivals such as the HW95. Maybe he'd be better off chopping the Lightning in instead of chucking cash at a badly flawed gun. Just my opinion Quote Link to post
