Bout 7 years back, a mate was up-ended as a fox bolted from cover and he got too close and spun round to keep a lamp on it... Two big dogs followed, up-ended him and fractured his skull, badly... At one point, on the way to Hosp, I really didn't think he'd make it, an i've seen enough shite like this, believe me..! Quote Link to post Share on other sites

BIGLURKS 874 Posted April 26, 2012 Report Share Posted April 26, 2012 Was out ferreting a bank with pals had my dogs with us all nets set ferret in heard some banging one pal was half on the hill told him too look in the hole see if he could see any thing well rabbit bolted straight into he's face he cought it and dog was just above him well dog was making sure rabbit wasn't going any were so he jumped in and all 3 fell down the hill well pal broke he's nose but we laughed are ass off still joke about too day Quote Link to post Share on other sites
"Earth!" 503 Posted April 26, 2012 Report Share Posted April 26, 2012 bolting rabbits with my brother. stood either side of a hedge, opposite each other.. all of the sudden a sharp pain in my mouth as though someone had batted me, lips went numb and a taste of blood and grit, yup, he had shot at a rabbit and the ricochet pellets hit me. straight through my lips, broke 2 of my teeth another time, bolting fox to nets. 1 bolted and pulled the peg through a hedge, i dived through the hedge to grab it and got hung up by the neck on barbed wire, still scared to this day(at least 10 years later). another, bolting fox to gun, 1 bolted and accounted by a keeper friend, another bolted, i hit it but it ran on up the wood. terrier out and hunted it up and pushed it back to the earth, just as it got to one of the holes i got my foot to it but on its arse, bloody thing swung around and locked onto my big toe ... 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
