toffee 76
depending were you live an what access to ground you.ve got might determine what breed of dog suits your needs.... if your lucky enough to have your ownw vast land then the deerx would win all day,, but if your in rural towns an hunt the outskirts an in between then the bullx,s are more suited.... 1 Quote Link to post

blackmaggie 3,376
hoker i dont think you have seen many whippet xs taking 2 or 3 foxes a night regular like a bullx or they being as good round holes as a bullx and as for being dragged round or over try lead training before you take them out and a good bull xas alot to offer including being used as a outcross i just hope the messers than try to ruin thebull x dont do it with th d/h cross than seems to becoming back in fashion and ive seen some good arounders bullxs one a night is plenty for him an a bag of rabbits but hes doing it on his own an as for working around holes he could show your bullx a trick or two i dont think so and some need a dog to do more than 1 in a night single handed its just like i couldnt get as many bunnies as you and for you to dismiss what a bull x can bring to the job is a bit naive theres good and bad in all crosses just the bullx has suffered more than most due to messers that attached themselves to the cross but for the job they were bred for there hard to beat and as a cross to other lurchercrosses they can and do make good dogs in the right hands Edited April 26, 2012 by blackmaggie Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
You say they are fading out, almost half the topics on the first page of this section are bull x related. Quote Link to post
