BEARINATOR 2,867
i like the deerhound cross for the strech and stride it gives to a litter of pups.great to breed back to whippet grey type dogs you would have a well alround lurcher fast off the mark with a bit of staying stamina.bull cross is just constant rage sick of been pulled off ditches and around the field by my bull 1/4 bull hound i think the deer hound will ease the suffering if crossed back to my bitch she is whippet hound whippet bull 24tts i think crossed to deer/grey i could be on the money with a touch of bull I'll let you use my deer/grey dog if your bitch is in heat when I'm over with him Quote Link to post

juckler123 707
A bit of bull goes a long way i personally think they have done a fair bit of good to the lurcher srains but its not suprising that the deerhound is coming back in the right blooded deerhounds give great nose and feet. fredthefrog 169
bull hounds arent fading out there just on top cause of all the clowns the breed as attracted i for one will not own any other breed they do as asked of them tho i admit theres other breeds that are better on quicker quarry but as were only allowed rat and rabbit then they do me as they havent jacked on rats ........... yet..lol....... Carraghs Gem 1,675
i was looking to get a deer x gray for me first lurcher but cud not fined any ended up geting a sal/bull/gray that was a good bitch id still think about a deer x if i was lookin for a new dog I did exact same lol, wasnt hard to find deer x grey, what was hard was to find one with 3 or more gens of working parents/grandparents... knowing they are slow to mature I didnt want to buy a pup from questionable parentage and then 2-3yrs later after putting everything I have into the dog discover its no good, dont know much about salukis having never owned them before but was advised that the litter my pup is out of will do everything I want and a lot more. So touch wood it will be a good few years before I will need another lurcher Quote Link to post
