bitch killed a cat today

Recommended Posts

as stated lurcher bitch got loose and killed a cat today when i was opening the garage door didnt no she was behind me. opend the door and she came straight out and spotted a neighbours cat.heres wer the plot thickens as my neighbour is a well known animal rights actavist witch i can not name. i am half expecting a call from some one,or a section in the local paper about blood sports or hunting dogs.as i stated to the owner any dog could of done this and it is comonn knowledge that cats and dogs do not get along it just happend to be a hunting dog that has caught the cat wer do i stand legaly on this matter as i am putting it down a misfortunate accident.

Say nothing and just smile when you see the owner looking for it   Your dog was on the lead so it's classed as under control

Probably get done for it, reminder to people to break their dogs to cats though

mine have broken a dozen ferrals this season. if its in a public place your in the shite, should have been on a lead, but accidents happen  what happens next is in the hands of the cats owner.

my make on it is that it is a misfortunate accident.with both sides to blame i should of checked to c wer the dog was and the owner should of had her pet at home and a cat on the street is like a stray with no one taken responsabilty for its actions as my dog is always kenneled responsabily

Bury the cat quick and hope she dosnt notice! ...

No in all seriousness morton is right, as you have not intentionally set your dog onto the cat and it was an unfortunate accident the law shouldnt come down on you.

However maybe you should keep an eye out for the activists :icon_eek: they might see it as a greater offence than the police
