It's like a battery: if you run it right down, it takes longer to charge again, and batteries which are continually run down to nothing will fail sooner than those which are recharged often and proper

if you had ever seen a dog thats given everything and i dont just mean choughing and pukeing white flem .and what it take to bring that dog back, you would not even bother asking

i think you should always leave a run in your dog as im running a young dog at the moment im being carefull and leaving a quite a few in him !

Totally irresponsible to run a dog into the ground, accidents happen now and then, nobody as control over a long gallop that may tax the best of mutts, but when the dog shows signs of real tiredness,it should go on a lead and the day ended.

Running a dog into the ground will inevitably shorten its working life if done on more than the very odd occasion: like when a long run happens at the end of a hard day, or a dog accidently getting on to yet another hare after its already run its guts out.

Run em into the ground then leave em where they fall

I bet all your windows are spotless, the amount of time you spend licking them.

My mother don't let me lick the windows

And she also says ask a stupid question get a silly answer .... Hence my reply to the op
