One of my ferrets escaped last night, I'm gutted n am keen to get it back, I live out in the countryside with a hand full of neighbours, I've had a good look about this morning and set a few live catch rabbit traps and will set more tonight.. Anyone got any advice on how to get it back? Will it just keep going or come back??? Thanks in advance.. Hope he returns ,,

one of my jills escaped while i was living on a farm last year, scoured the surronding fields for days praying that she hadnt found her way into the pheasant pens, not a sign of her for 3 days, then while i was standing in one of the barns chatting to the keeper she popped out from the back of an old fridge!!!

likelyhood is that he will try and find somewhere warm to hole up and sleep, so it would probably pay to ask your neighbours if you could check their sheds, outbuildings etc, you might get lucky with the live traps tho.

best of luck!!

Thanks for the positive advice chaps,, it got spotted at 9.30 this mornin, I got a call at 12.30 moved all my traps and cut a rabbit up and put them arround the area it was spotted.. Gutted they didn't grab it or call me sooner, it was at the bussiness next door, there are containers and all sorts round there, just checked the traps, no good so far, if it goes any further it'll be in the woods n amongst allot of rabbits.. Fingers crossed for tonight.. Thanks again
