holiday in Galloway

I have a family holiday booked at the end of October and was wondering if anyone had any advice on wildfowling around here. I'll be staying in Kirkcudbright. i assume there are a few spots locally but all i can find at the moment is information on Wigtown bay.

Theres plenty around you wil have to,speak to the locals Theres a hotel at powfoot,you can get on to solway there still I believe,its a while since I did mind, theres a farm just west of it, I think its called lady hall farm he charges,a small fee to access the solway from his ground, I live close to the solway and will make some enquiries when I get back to work and let you know, I presume its wildfowling you are after,

thanks for the reply, yes, its wildfowling i'm after. i thought id start making enquiries now rather than leaving it to the last minute.

Can I ask is it inland or estuary that you prefere,and will you be bringing a dog with you,

Annan, Powfoot, Cummertrees. Was a member of Solway Wildfowlers about 25 or 30 years ago

You will need to get permission/permit sorted before you go though.

There is or was a gunshop in Annan who could point you the way though.

Hi sorry I didnt get back to you dytkos is right, all I speak to say the same thing,if you are stuck I am 45 to an hour away I might be able to sort you a inland flight depending on bird availability,
