Rodge86 2
Hi I have just got a deben bipod for my BSA scorpion and I can't fault it for £50 but if money is no object you can always buy a harris 1 that tilts and swivels and does all sorts of magic tricks for about £150. oscarsdad 4
You will find you will have to re-drill the stock and mount the QD stud about 20mm further back in order to mount the bipod on the ultra. Otherwise is gets in the way of the MMC cocking button. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
No Oscars dad, you just mount the bipod the other way round so that the legs fold to the stock end not to the barrel end (you have to think in reverse sometimes)!!!!! That way the legs do not foul the ruddy awful MMC as stated. Harris swivel (tilting) bipds are available for much less than a hundred and fifty pounds, a 9-13 inch genuine Harris bipod can be had for less than a hundred new if you look around. Two reasons for owning a Harris rather than a copy. 1) They are built so much better, better machined, better made, better components. 2) They have to be as they come with a lifetime manufacturers warranty! When I started with pcp rifles we bought a Harris copy, a Deben in fact. The pin that stops the prongs that clip onto the QD stud came out, then the rubber pads on the top started to slip, the final blow came was when the ruddy spring came off a leg as it was being lowered into the shooting position. It got taken back, I got a refund. I got a Harris! Quote Link to post

The Duncan 802
I paid £68 for my harris a few years ago. Don't really use it on the air rifle - hmr only. With practise, you can be stable enough without a bipod at all airgun ranges IMHO. I bought the one that doesn't tilt, slide (or generally wobble about the place) as I like my 'pod to be rock solid and not easily variable. A really high quality item the Harris, faultless. Cheers Duncan Quote Link to post
AR177 588
I have a Deben Bi-pod (6-9 Swivel) and its falling apart, haven't had it that long really or treated it too rough .. best to avoid and buy a harris Buy Cheap Buy Twice! ATB Adam Quote Link to post
