gnasher16 30,121
So maintaining less than about 4% body fat is healthy is it? Less than 4% is the target of competetive bodybuilders on contest day........a footballer running round a pitch at less than 4 % bodyfat would collapse within 10 minutes.......a man couldnt hold bodyfat of 2 % for more than about a day and still be alive !...... Peaked out fitness is not a healthy state to live your life and you certainly cant hold condition like that for a long time.......i believe top level footballers maintain around 8 - 12 % bodyfat...... My theory is its like a racing car engine....the more highly tuned it is the more can go wrong......too highly tuned for performance and you start to lack durability......too much durability and you wont get highly tuned performance.........like i say though only my theory.
