BORDERSCOT 3,816
i found lamb bone very sharp. you know you are feeding too much bone when you see god old white dog shit!! I feed lamb bones two or three times a week alomg with raw, brown bread and veg and have no problems. The dogs - terriers and lurchers - eat all lamb bones completely and do well on it. White dog shit ha ha ha!!!!!!!!
Annmarie09 5
I would cut back the bones and feed pigs ears or ox cheeks instead as a chew. Meat has a low fibre content and you need to add veggies like raw carrots, cooked peas and beans. The vet would give you liquid paraffin, but don't overdo it! Water and exercise will help. Don't let him stay constipated for long, it can be very dangerous for young animals. I almost lost a five month old foal from it, he went down very quickly. Rawhide is not good for running dogs as it can foam up in their stomachs and cause bloat. Edited April 16, 2012 by Annmarie09
