Just seen it on the news, dont object to them shooting the dogs as long as it was a clean kill but ffs youd think they could take the time to bury them, the owners have now been traced due to the tattoos in the ear, bet the antis are loving this

why would the antis be loving this, track racing is nothing to do with hunting. i thought an anti was some one who dont like hunting of any sort. killing greyhounds retired , too old , too sick , injured or what ever the reason is for there fate, it cant be pointed at hunting folk just because there running dogs. we use there blood to hunt with thats as far as it goes, sometimes we make it bad for ourselfs. not having a dig mate just fed up and i think we need to stand up for ourselfs. who would of thought that we are discriminated just for the dog we have on the end of our lead

how do you know antis arent responsible for this incident. if some one wants to shoot dogs be it a springer ,borzoi or any dog associated with hunting thats not hunting folks responsibilty. theres plenty of other dogs getting killed un lawfully. what i want to know is what are anti hunt people going to say about this incident ( which sadly happens in any dog breed), please some one enlighten me because this incident is non hunting related so dont try and relate them ourselfs

listen bud i dont want to argue i got school in the morning, i just dont understand what antis will say about this. will they say who ever done this to running dogs must be a hunter. come on pal theres so many greyhound owners out there who rescue these greyhounds who havent never hunted in there life and never will. its a fact that most greyhounds are shot because of different circumstances on not being able to compete no more on the track . i just cant see what they can say to relate this to a hunting incident . i suppose im quite simple like my mum keeps telling me . i know one thing the ANTIS can talk all they want, make things up like normal , do what ever but it dont mean a shit without no hard evidence. may your dogs keep running

Whippet99, a lot of the people opposed to hunting are also opposed to track dogs, they see it as cruel for whatever reason. Maybe he was refering to Anti's of working dogs in general? I dont know.

The antis are indeed milking this story. They will be saying that they're coursing greyhounds.

Also there are rumours doing the rounds that Phillpott up North has said that when he's finished with the terriers (his current campaign) he's going after the greyhounds.

How ever, as mentioned, it could be a set up by the antis, as a while back, they killed a hare where hares were kept at a coursing meet, so it looked like they were suffering!!

The greyhound board will hopefully get to the bottom of it!

it sounds to me that were the ones who give them fuel. said once said again , prove these were coursing greyhounds instead of track ones . if they were spaniels , labrador or any working dog what was found would that be fuel for antis aswell !

hard proving evidence is what i call fuel for the antis , this is minor and can happen with any breed. but because its greyhounds it must be hunting. ffs grow some balls and stand up to them . dont give them the steam off your piss.

antis spraying acid in hounds eyes , calling them across busy roads with a horn , it aint about cruelty its just an invitation to fight a cause, half of them dont know what there fighting for. if they were that concerned about animal welfare instead of coming to meets and starting a fight , why dont they by quite and try and gather there evidence. lancs pay them just to upset meets because they know there fighting a loosing battle.

i might not be popular for saying this but i cant stand greyhound racing the only reason most people have them is to make money out of racing they have no bond with the animal and once they get to 4years old and past there best they are shot.

you right to a point, i helped a bloke who had racing kennels, he had 50 i think there . They are well cared for, good food, warm kennels , and the best vet+bone men. Now regards been bonding with them and treated like pets no they (dont) , prob because most kennels have quite few dogs , and couldnt do it . Its the same with any animal used as business (horse racing, farming ....) . and farmers are the worst with there stock (sheep) if a dog killed a sheep , all there botherd about is they lost £ 90 quid, not the sheep forget the bullshit they tell you .!! I like greyhound racing and the dogs love to have a blast round, its a good night out + meal
