Heres mine (the brindle one). Saluki whippet greyhound out of fred holmes stock back to sooty sam whippet. She is fast as fook and so agile its like she is on rails when she turns! Plenty of stamina too. My khan jihad sired pure saluki (the red one) has boundless stamina and works very clever. Im putting them together this year cos i of course i need a pup! Lol!

i got a 4 yr old bitch her dam is a 5/8 saluki 3/8 greyhound and sire pure whippet fooking fast bitch she is only about the size of a whippet and she take a hare with ease she fooking good with ferrets would never harm em in anyway unless its an accident she is game as f**k she will lay down and crawl into bushes and put the rabbits up and then smash back out the bush and slaughter it! only thing is if she misses a hare or rabbit she will try to find it and she wont come back on 1st recall but otherwise she a fooking good dog never had her on lamp. very quick lil bitch i will be breeding her once she comes on heat. think might put a collie cross over her for bit more brain power!

bred a litter from tess my whippet grew bitch to a good saluki cross dog out of an old mate of mines a 3 out of 3 dog ,turned out racy like ther mother but with a good engine and go in them with a good running brain , if i had the brain ahah .i would had bred them again as it was an easy way to get a very good allround running dog, i gave tess away to apet home as her stoppers were getting abit worn but a grand little dog and would had put a few lurchers to shame ,i like the croiss but would make sure both parents are well tested like i did

Was thinking of maybe getting a whippet x greyhound in the near future as i already have my saluki there, Does anyone know if the Smooth hair gene is dominant with these crosses as it is with a 1st x saluki greyhound ? And some cracking dogs by the way lads

Not certain to be honest but litters I've seen or heard of have thrown both smooth and feathered. From my experience the whippet gene seems quite dominant as the litter mine came from most the pups just look like big whippets (23-26inch) and all smooth. They're only bred quarter whippet too (if that actually means anything) so Im guessing the whippet gene must be quite dominant. Others on here might have different experiences though... would be interesting to find out.
