A Fond Farewell To An Old Friend (The April Mini Meet)

Recommended Posts

Hi lads,

This is a clip of just some of this weekends activities when attending a airgun camping weekend and mini meet organised by Davy and Charlie for a friend of ours Scuba who is emigrating in 4 weeks on his boat to warmer waters.

It was a brilliant weekend and well worth the journey down to Swindon.

It’s a shame more couldn’t have made it and enjoyed the fun, laughter, light hearted jokes and wind ups especially on Rommel’s and Andy we all had.

Thanks again the Davy and Charlie for putting in all the hard work to make it such a brilliant weekend.

Me and Laura cant wait for the next meet.

Nice film, Si, and how good's that lass with the pistol??!! :icon_eek::laugh: Fair play to all who made Mike's send off a really decent event, I'm just sad I couldn't make it.

If you're reading this, Mike, I wish you all you could want. I hope you find whatever it is you need to and I hope you find it well. Stay safe, be lucky and take care

I am in awe of all of you that attended this event and congratulate Davy and Charlie for organising it. Looking at the film above and seeing the fun and enjoyment that adults and children alike obviously had was a real pleasure for me. This type of film shows what friendships can be formed and bonded when people that join an internet forum get together for a shooting weekend enjoying a common interest. Just by looking at the interactions and hearing the jovial banter between the attendees it’s easy to see that there are some very strong friendships there. I had to laugh as well at the part about the Weihrauch assault dummy, very good sir. Some very good shooting there and that bonny lass with the pistol was eye opening and jaw dropping. I hope that your very pretty wife Si did not end up with a black eye and i hope that you managed to put the Ultra back in its cage until the next war. What a brilliant post.

Got to say Sniper Andy and Alpaca Rommel's are top lads and took all the light hearted abuse we sent there way in the best possible taste  .

It was a mint weekend, all the banter we had really made it what it was.

Dont worry Andy and Rommel's the beast has now been caged again in its glass cage until the next war where the glass will be broken and the Ultra will rise again :D .

Hi Gaz,

Yes make sure you can attend the next meet buddy.

Bring your good lady with you too pal as these meets are turning into a great family social event where the wives have as much fun as the men chatting, shooting, drinking and having a relaxing laugh and time away from the norm back at home.

You should have a brand new customised .177 r10 mark 2 by then pal.

Well what can I say CP88 CP88 (Polly want a cracker).... LOL. I took me ages to practice my VERY manly voice to sound like that!!! LOL

What a fantastic weekend, I can speak for everyone when I say we have a fantastic time! It was really good to see all ages having a go and even better to see the kids hitting what they were aiming for.

Many thanks for Davy and Charlie for yet again organising another great weekend, if it wasn't for these two guys how often would we be meeting up? I for one wouldn't have made the friendships I have without attending these meets....

Si mega thanks for taking the time to capture all you have over the weekend and putting it all together in the above video, very appreciated buddy!

Mike again I wish you the very best for the furture, I'm sure at some point our paths will again cross. I hope you've passed on your cooking secrets to someone???

And last but not least I have to mention Nicki, I just can't believe she hit those cans, 65yrd....... WOW :icon_eek: I couldn't even hit the 25yrd can......

All the very best to you all, until the next time take care!!!
