Ideation 8,216 Posted April 10, 2012 Report Share Posted April 10, 2012 2 questions. Firstly, why do folk always compare dogs to wild animals / wolves. They are domesticated animals that have been domesticated for a looooong fecking time. They do totally different things than wild animals. A wild dog would catch a rabbit at night, eat it and then sleep. Not, catch it, then bring it to a person, then run and catch / try to catch a load more. Same with terriers, how often do you reckon wild dogs go underground to battle foxlike creatures??? Second - Digger, seen your dogs, they look well enough. But Do you not find they cant work day 1 due to being stuffed? And surely due to the length of their digestive system / metabolism, by day three, they are fecking hungry, and weaker. I know for a fact (i think haha) that if you didnt feed a dog for 2 or so days and then brought it out here, even daytime, for some of the work we do, it would collapse before the day was over. digger. 615 Posted April 10, 2012 Report Share Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) i stated already that i have dogs a long time.i have never in that time had any of my dogs break down.we are out of season now and i will stick to this type of feeding right tru to the season then feed my dogs according to how i wrk them.feeding a beef raw diet is diffrent and does not pass true the body as quick as other feeds nuts chicken etc.my dogs will never go hungry or want for food and thats a FACT i am guessing that some of the lads on here that have commented on the way i feed my dogs do not feed there dogs the same way.my dogs are used to this as it is routine.But Do you not find they cant work day 1 due to being stuffed (i dont work them day 1 after a feed)And surely due to the length of their digestive system / metabolism, by day three, they are fecking hungry, and weaker.(day three yes hungry isnt that the point of feeding your dogs..and by all means they are in no way weak) if by day three lets say im taking the lurchers for a spin the day before they have been ran and emptyed a bit,i will give them a handfull of meat early morning run them that night and give them a rabbit when home or a nice big feed its my routine iv always done it this way.hope this answers your question mate Edited April 10, 2012 by digger.
