Ideation 8,216
Took Finn to see Robert Meek the bone man today after Brookie on here told me he was in my part of the world at times, and gave me his number (cheers matey) Anyway, took the drive up and he looked the dog over, i wanted him to check out one foot, where i thought there was a problem with a ligament maybe, but he said it was just a foreign body causing some swelling or just a fatty lump, so all good on that front (yay!). However he also checked the rest of the dog over, clicked him here and there, stretched this and that, and told me he had two sore / pulled muscles, just minor things that could be sorted out with some stretches and massage. Now i knew the dog wasnt 100% on top form, but wouldnt have been able to tell you what, for ten quid, he was a mine of useful info, and insights, and i think it was a trip well made. And a relief to know that the swelling on his foot isnt a big deal. Made me think though, how many dogs carry small injuries etc and we never know or see. 6 Quote Link to post

WILF 47,699
Don't mean to be a smart arse, but how can a bone man tell if a lump is a foreign body, cyst or tumour ?....only a blood test or small biopsy or test of the fluid in the lump will do that! He may very well be right but I would want to be sure early on. Jmho Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Wilf - A sample has been taken by a vet prior to this to check for just that. Quote Link to post
