I'm sorry to say I think she looks underweight..

Green tripe is good for building lean muscle mass too..

I would add a tin of (something like) pilchards to the list a week, although, rabbit brains contain Omega3..

Wondering if swapping to Keepers Mix instead of the Seaweed supplement could help too.

I've found it hard to get weight back on when feeding raw, took me weeks to get my dog looking 100% after a week of loose stools.

Not what I'd been led to believe, but I'll take your word for it

It's account for about 40-50% of my dogs diet.....

She has put on about 1 kilograms but is still thin.

She has decided to be fussy now and takes half an hour to eat two chicken wings.I have added beef mince into her diet wich she loves and I think that helps.

thanks

Can you not get whole minced chicken: bones and all? then mix that with the beef and minced veg: add some thick white lamb or beef fat (the sort that butchers usually trim off) If she's very active she probably needs more fat? Have you got a friendly butcher who will mince up waste chicken carcases for you plus about 15% hard fat?

I'm sure Socks will tell me if I've got the ratio wrong but that's about what I'm feeding my young energetic dogs.

I've had a constant battle getting weight on my whippet all her life and i've had people reccomend minced chicken but she wouldn't eat it, recently i've discovered she likes chicken backs and is doing great on them imo and filling out nicely. Chicken mince is a sloppy mess so I don't blame her really. I give her other stuff but they are the bulk of her diet and is whats made the difference and the best part is their free :victory:

have a look at the link below and you will see that per selected serving tripe has just a meager 13.6 g of protein but a massive 95.1 g of water ... also look at the first triangle diagram and you will see it is 84% moisture .........

I hear ya..

Does that link deal with green tripe or the washed/bleached stuff?

Do you think there'd be a difference?

Took a look at the Prize Choice feeding guide and the levels of moisture they quote are all very similar.
