is.my bitch in pup

Hi guys my birch was mated 4 .1/2 weeks ago and she seems to have thickened out at the back a touch and her teats are a bit bigger but at what stage will I defo know if she i s in pup .been along time since I had my ladt litter

if them tits a milking then she in pup, Feed Feed feed now mate, get her big aand fat. good luck :thumbs:

 

Milk on the teat is no guarantee of pups and you shouldn't overfeed a possibly pregnant bitch, it can lead to large pups and problems whelping. Once the pups are born is the time to up the feeding.

I have found the most reliable indicator of pregnancy to be the colour of the bitch's nipples. Whilst it is normal for the nipples to increase slightly in size after a season, they usually stay the same colour. If the bitch is pregnant, you'll see the nipples on the teats nearest to her hindlegs start to go pinker in colour. There won't be any obvious increase in mammary gland size at this stage: in fact, I've notice that unmated bitches often start to bag up earlier after the end of their season than bitches which are pregnant. Expect an increase in bag size towards the end of the pregnancy. Normally, you don't start to see milk until a week before the birth. Hope this helps.
