The Duncan 802
Cats will probably still be an attractive chase for your dog, but I doubt electric fences will be as appealing. Atb Duncan Quote Link to post

Your more fortunate than many of us here pal,but any posts about knacking moggies bring all the wrong attention, from all the wrong sort and impress only the type that should,nt own dogs.Accidents happen in the field and thats were they should stay.It was a stupid question to ask as it could so easily have been answered by yourself the next time you ventured out. 1 Quote Link to post
sowhat 1,572
I would ask Mintstick 99 or gabbitas 31 on here for some advice about how to stop your dog from chasing cats, her dogs are well known for terrorizing the cat population down in Truro Quote Link to post

Atb Duncan thanks mate, the reply I was looking for. apart from two of our farms only having electric fences so that's gonna get annoying Quote Link to post
iceman001979 1,316
Lots off dogs have been lost during the day and night after hitting an electric fence. Some dogs can take it but others think there owners have did it to them or the animal there chasing. Really depends on the dog and how bad and how long the shock was for. Will it go after cats again only time will tell a bit time off let him get over the shock and he should be OK best luck 1 Quote Link to post

I suppose I could've said she was chasing a mouse (the only thing i gather wouldn't attract negative attention in your country?) I just thought I would be truthful because they're a big problem over my way, there feral cats everywhere around here that are a lot bigger than a house cat and smell about as good as a fat girls c**t after she's ran a marathon. 1 Quote Link to post

chartpolski 23,307
Feral cats are one of the biggest pests in Australia, and are considered fair game, give the lad a break ! But the answer to your question has already been given.......Slip the dog on another one and see what happens ! Cheers. 4 Quote Link to post

I think you've hunted with the bitch I'm talking about. Gerard had her, he got her off "dooley", the bitch goes by the name of Ripple. Quote Link to post
patterdale666 1,620
I'd say it would take more than an electric fence to stop a dog with a taste for cats doing what they love 1 Quote Link to post

I've hunted with both Gerrard and Dooley, but the only Whippets I've hunted with down there belonged to Dromana, so I don't think I've seen your bitch. Cheers. Quote Link to post

Ausnick 190
This was the cat sitting up a tree before the dog had a run of it for the doubters. See if you can spot it. Quote Link to post
