I personally use Hornady, but they are pretty much the same, as by all accounts they are made in the same place. I have tried the 20grain hp, but went back to the 17gr. Hope this helps. Jesse James 2 Posted April 7, 2012 Report Share Posted April 7, 2012 As above my rifle likes Hornady Vmax 17g red , blue or black tips. But I also found that it also likes CCI 17g Hollow points. I would if you buy a few different selections and try paper puncing to see what you and your rifle prefers and how well they group for you. I pay £12.00 for hornday and CCI are around £10.00. so a big difference in cost... Quote Link to post
