The very genuine air of camaraderie on this thread comes across loud and clear, it’s a far cry from the THL of old and long may it continue to be that way.   The IWTF has already shown in a very sho

Barrie, camaraderie would be an understatement. The room for the meeting on Sunday was pre-paid for by one lad out of his own pocket at considerable expence. At the close of the meeting EVERYONE tha

There are still 8 days to go before the meeting.

Could every club and terrier man contact at least 2 other guys who may not know about the IWTF.

Also because of the speed at which the Bill may get pushed through.

Could we use the time before the meeting to do:

1, Contact your local TD's - all parties, try and get a meeting face to face. tell them about the Bill and how it would effect hunting.(Politicians)

2, Contact your local Regional Game Council chairman, get them on board. Ask them can you use there name for support.(NARGC)

3, Terriermen working with Foxhound and Harrier packs, some terriermen act as whips and part time kennel men.

Have a chat with the Huntsman, ask him will he support your cause. Someone is telling the Minister that Packs do not use terriers.

We need hard facts that the huntsman that you know are definitely using terriers. Again will they sign a letter saying that they use and need terriers as part of the Hunt. (HAI,IMFHA, etc...)

4, Ask your Farming friends would they be prepared to sign a letter stating that terriers have permission on their land for the role of Pest control.(IFA)

If clubs could arrive at the meeting with letters signed from the people above, the IWTF could approach the Minister,NARGC,HAI,IFA with a stronger case for affiliation.

These questions will separate the men from the boys, Nothing like signing for what you believe in to see who has the mettle.

It may prove who our friends are!!

Stopend and the lads in the North had the belief to start this, Corkman and about 10 others including Stopend are in the middle of it right now.

It is growing very very fast, But it may hit a bottleneck if we leave the next 8 days slip by.

There are a lot of clever men out there Danny300, Jigsaw, Fatman, LiamDelaney and all the rest.

Everyone get stuck in.

United we stand

i see recently laws on here about terrierwork.... i can see not everyone is up to speed on how they need to go about things to work your terriers...

ie... laws and all sorts of information the more experienced men can give.... so i suggest you form a terrier club and join the IWTF....

they are here to see that terrierwork can continue and everyone has the available sources they need to contact regarding terrier work in IRELAND... north and south..

hope to see a good crowd at the horse and jockey tamarra and take the terrierwork into the 21st centuries and be well ahead of our ENEMIES.....

Would anyone be kind enough to post them up or give a link?

Hi Liam

I'm glad everything went so well.

It's just 7 weeks to the day since I came across to Ballywalter and met with a couple of handfuls of lads, and I can't believe what they and others have achieved in such a very short time.

Those involved are a credit to the game and deserving of everyone's fullest support, no matter which side of the water they come from, or which side of the political divide.

Well done to each each and every one of you

With the Greatest of Respect :notworthy: - Barrie
