hyperion 122
Started watching it but turned it off because 1) it was crap 2) it was presented by idiots 3) it was typical BBC these days, more sensationalism that factual 4) robowolf was the final nail in the coffin, how could you take that seriously??
TOMO 26,483
its ok introducing wolves in to places,,, but if you owned livstock like some of those guys they interviewed,, theres going to be conflict and dead wolves.... you can understand how the ranchers felt i would be the same but i have to say i hated that hunter they interviewed ,,, all he was bothered about was the size of the local elk population,,, he kept showing pics of dead elk/deer that had been killed by wolves,,, so what..... he summed up what most brits think of yanks,,, just a gung ho c**ts,, i just thought he had a real bad attitude

skycat 6,173
I go on an American Airedale forum, who for the most part seem very sensible hunting types, not the 'yeeharr' sort at all, and although they do shoot a bit (don't all the yanks?) they aren't deer shooters. Even so, most of them have serious concerns about wolves in their 'back yards'. These guys aren't even livestock farmers, for the most part. They certainly don't have the same attitude as that prick on the wolf programme last night, but they don't really like the idea of wolves in their areas. I remember one person putting on a post about someone else's dogs which got killed by wolves when they were out hunting. The anti wolf thing seems to stem either from seeing the wolf as a competitor for game, or simply because they are a threat to dogs and livestock. I would have cheerfully hung, drawn and quartered that miserable old fart on the programme last night. I loathe extreme prejudice in any form, and he was a prime example of blinkered hatred. Richie10 345
He was an idiot, typical shooters atitude, want everything for themselves and can't share. Imagine what he thought of deer coursing! The elk population would benefit from the wolves and so would he, I don't understand why he couldn't share. Understand the ranchers, but typical BBC, always put a slant on it and it's always more about the people involved than the animals they are supposed to be talking about! Richie10 345
Being that uas in the UK killed off our wolves years ago we can't really imagine what it would be like to have them living around us.
GrCh 856
its all about respecting your quarry, you cant have it both ways if the wolf isn't allowed to hunt its own prey deer, elk, moose or bison of course its going to take sheep, cows, dogs etc. That bloke who was on about how the wolf kills its prey was a f****n inbred who should be shot himself.
