Ratsmasher 36
i might be wrong but it looks like its got the bull barrel? - no need for silencer You are wrong, that is not a bull barrel and with a bull barrel you still need a darned silencer. See my post for a BBC photo! oh...i didnt know that never mind i do now thanks moley...What does a bull barrel actually do then? Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
It has silencer baffles built into the shroud. This is for the American market primarily as you cannot have separate silencers over there, they have to be part of the barrel. They do not work as effectively as an external silencer, hence Mini Me wears a Twink on the end of the shroud, to make life even quieter! Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
hahaha asif they arent allowed seperate silencers ... fail Quote Link to post

milegajo 595
I believe New Zealand outlawed external silencers, so I agree the bull barrel is for exports. I wonder as to their reasoning for such a ban in countries not so fearful and over regulated as the British regarding firearms. I believe Freud had an amusing quote on the fear of guns, will find and post it for shits n giggles. Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Tell me this ,why the overwhelming need for a silencer on an airgun anyway .Get a grip lads ,no need .lol. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
If you do not know why a silencer is necessary then there is no need to explain that a moderated rifle makes less noise, noise which will alert quarry elsewhere on the permission. In fact sometimes it is possible to get two or more shots off on a flock of pigeons that have roosted using a silenced air rifle, using an air rifle without a moderator means one shot then they all go. Do try to keep up! Quote Link to post
davyt63 1,845
Tell me this ,why the overwhelming need for a silencer on an airgun anyway .Get a grip lads ,no need .lol. hi FD in some ways I agree regarding a spring rifle, but to use a PCP with out a silencer in a horse paddock in the day or night, you will only cause distress to the horse's.as its even louder as one of those long training whip's. and I personally would like the horse's relaxed when I am shooting in there paddocks (not while they are in them of course) because these area's are closed off, due to the amount of rabbit holes,in different parts of the paddocks. so to answer your question YES! for PCP's , NO! for spring rifles hope this helps regards Davy Quote Link to post
