Lab 10,979
This is a "how long is a piece of string question"................... You could advertise on here or possibly one of the gundog website. The dog could be anything from £100 quid to £500, maybe more. All depends on who you get it from and what it can do!! I know i wouldn't. Quote Link to post

I'd much rather watch a dog/bitch and find out if theres a planned litter in the future. Lets face it you and i know you can pay 5 grand for a pup if you like but that doesn't mean you have a world beater.......... 2 Quote Link to post
mally 832
Totally agree mate, your much better getting a pup and training it yourself. I've a springer pup booked and hopefully she'll be with me in the Autumn. I don't know what i'm letting myself in for but i will give her my best shot. She'll be my first springer, i've a labrador at the moment but she's 6 now and the work i do with the dogs has changed, i now do much more dogging in, (flushing poults back to the woods) and the labrador does a great job and trys her best but a springer would be much better 1 Quote Link to post

RubyTex 1,957
When we lived in the middle of nowhere our neighbour who was also the landowner was a right little copy cat mong! She saw what my dog could do, but couldn't be arsed to put the training in herself. Went out and spent £2,000 on a 'fully trained' Springer and bragged about it in the week running up to picking it up...the f****r took off after she had 'gotten to know it' for weeks, and was gone for a good 4 hours, wouldn't respond to the whistle and generally didn't want to hunt, i think cause the Springer was a bit rubbish she then went out and bought a 'fully trained' Cocker and that didn't know it's arse from it's elbow either! Someone made a killing there! Buy a pup for £300/£400, and do it yourself! 1 Quote Link to post
