Lab 10,979 Posted April 5, 2012 Report Share Posted April 5, 2012 Only 3 went to working homes all bitches one not as good as thought to be she was a fiesty pup but hes disapointed in her but shes still young, dont think the other lad has done much yet and one which was a pet got rehomed to a working home at middlesbrough somewhere so im not in contact now. They just turned a year in march. They are all different and vairy in size and weight. The 2 dogs both have high prey drive but are just so big my sisters in the pic is just over 7 stone and about 28inch the other about the same both of these are pet homes but they still catch odd bunnys and like to chase. disappointed in a 12 month old pups abilities??....some people! to be fair rob you have a good idea what the dog will be like when its 12months old. Now how can i put this in the friendliest terms.............................................................................................................................PISH!!!! Now i dont really think the lurcher world differs to much from the gundog world so at 12 months i would say its still a pup. Only at 12 months would i even think of uping any kind of training to actual serious 'training' instead of fun related training. In the hunting game i can tell you things what a dog should be capable in my eyes but i better not. Thats just me and a select group of lads I knock about with mind.
