Failing that a pair of jeans, barbour shirt and beaten, 25 year old, father hand me down, barbour jacket with my BASC pin in the collar works for me. The most important thing is that you are half way there, awesome job so far!! When you meet, firm handshake, look him in the eye, small talk about changeable weather, ask about how the weird weather will affect crop yeilds, how much damage are vermin doing and where, insurance, etc. You want to show you are going to be a regular help and not a twice a month wonder. Imagine going to tea with a girl friends parents, bit like that sort of behaviour. If they relax you do, if they are formal you are! Simpley be you, but on a polite day!! Good luck! Nothing worse than going un-prepared. I take my gun, but keep it out of sight. He may bring up about what gun to see if its up to what he wants done. Fingers crossed for you. Quote Link to post
