rocky1 942 Posted April 3, 2012 Report Share Posted April 3, 2012 asabove says realy ,my pal been trying for a while now 2 get a dog up 2 the standard of he sire but nothing he breeds dosen,t even come anywere near ,he been but 2 top bitches aswell that trows good dogs now and again ,he was trying with he old dog aswell which as pass away now he is canny gutted has he wanted 2 run somthink of he own stock and dosen,t want 2 bring nothink in but i think he coming 2 the conclusion he has 2 now ,he been trying for the last 7 years or more ,is this ever happened 2 any of the thl members properly see this alot in the saluki world all the time with all these super studdogs .,cheers gaz Quote Link to post

riohog 5,708 Posted April 3, 2012 Report Share Posted April 3, 2012 its never easy ,but it does appear tht line breeding is the way to keep cosistancy , ,mating line bred dogs to other unrelated line bred dogs of good stamp seems to worl ,, ,butt as folk dont keep full litters its difficult to asses ,as the best pup could have been passed on ..and a good dog will not reach its full potencial with a numpty on the other end of the lead !!!. 4 Quote Link to post
