vitalspark 4
I've used one on my hmr for two years. Initially it seemed a bit of a sod to get the brass weight to drop through the barrel but after a month or two it became a piece of cake. One extra point not already mentioned was that I put a couple of drops of oil on the 'lace' just before the end-loop prior to pulling through the last couple of inches. Quote Link to post
Grousekeeper84 2
Im not a fan of boresnakes at all they arnt anywhere as effective at removing copper fouling etc and if it happens to snap off inside the barrel the rifle is preyy much buggered! Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
Can anyone who's got a genuine hoppes boresnake put a pic up please? Ive just bought one from eBay which was sold as hoppes, but I'm not convinced. Does the hoppes one only have two short spirals of brass on it, an inch or two apart? Quote Link to post

The Duncan 802
Hi RIch, is it supposed to have brass running throughout the length of it? Quote Link to post
richmcgin 32
It has a brass weight on the string end then nothing till you get to the fat bit which has brass wire weaved into the material. Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
brass weight, string check. There are 2 short sections with brass in them, but thats it: Quote Link to post
