milegajo 595
This might be a bit cheeky of me but hey ho, if you don't ask you never know and if this isn;t the way to go about it I apologise in advance. What I am after is some rabbit furs/skins to wrap aound retrieving dummies ot help bring on my rescue with the whole "rabbits are fun to chase but that is not the end game" thing. Having not been in this game until a few weeks ago I have no idea what you guys do with the fur - does it get consumed by animals, do you use it yourself to train pups or do you make fantastic bespoke fashion items? I have no idea. Any spare you have would be much appriciated and I will kindly cover the cost of post and bung a couple of quid your way for your troubles. I w've asked a mate for some but nothing is moving on that front and I don't have any other avenues to explore unless someone can point me in the right direction. The rescue is chasing them donw but not fully putting her foot down all of tyhe time and seems quite happy just to push them into cover so I need a way to encourage her to put the paw to the floor and get stuck into them. Does she just need a taste of them? Any tips for bringing forward the opening of the accelerater to full revs? I did have a fur donated from a gundog mate of mine (I taught him to cast a fly so he returned the favour with a fur and a dummy) so I let her get the feel for it and it just ended up in bits within a few minutes - fur orders might be a regular thing until she learns not to rip them to buggery. How did you get the dog to up its game if it has the will to chase and hunt but just not close down and deal the final act? Tow a lure behind a bike? Just play retrieval games with them? Again, your advice is very much appreciated. Hutch. I have too many! Coming out my ears! Do you still need them? Quote Link to post
