Hey I was just wondering if cleaning your pellets makes any difference to the performance of them ?

Depends on brand but yes....some brands are cleaner than others

I clean and lubricate every tin of pellets not sure if it makes a difference. But as Stevo said it depends on type on how dirty they are. Somebody on here who has shot a lot more pellets than me could possibly tell you if it makes a difference to the kill rate. Sorry i can't help any more than i have.

The only thing that will make a difference to the kill rate is the shooter knowing his kit . I clean all my pellets , and it DOES make a difference , allbeit a small one .

Buster321c, I was trying to think of a way to phrase it , because like you i believe it make a difference if only a small one. I believe that if the pellet has been washed and you have a smaller grouping, then it will lead to a higher kill rate.

How do you clean them? Surely most pellets come lubed up all ready to go?

No, some pellets (ie some of the Napier range) come lubed up, most do not. Some do have graphite dust on them, however most are unwashed and unlubed. I just add a few drops of Napier Power to a tin of pellets, works for me!
