"Earth!" 503
what was your purpose of releasing them?? were a couple of neighbouring keepers that accidently released some but were soon shot as they are very agressive towards all other pheasant. 2 Quote Link to post
nod 285
i shot one on beaters day this year, the keeper says a few get accidently get out each year, so he puts a bounty on them Quote Link to post
dogga 1
The reason I ask is I am part time keeper on a shoot and the shoot captain has bout about 20 reeves .... Now from personal experience these are highly teretorial and will act very aggresively towards other pheasants ... Its the legality of realeasing that I'm trying to get a difinative answer on ... I was under the assumption that ring necks and any cross of this bird are now classed as native the only other I wasn't sure about is the jap green .... Still confused Quote Link to post

dogga 1
But as far as I'm aware michi s are not an ornamental species and are still classed as a releasable viable shooting strain ! Earth that doesn't look too good on my keepering abilities if I say the fox got em and the rest wandered off !!lol I was hoping if it was illegal then I could just 'put him in the picture ' then not even get them delivered !! dogga 1
That's how I understood it jackboy thanks .. Can anyone suggest where to actually find out if it does infact break the law and which law it breaks ? Why do game farms actually sell if its illegal ? Quote Link to post
