Road work Q

There's not a dog in the world that needs 20 mile roadwork every day !! Give the dog a break and do a bit mooching around the fields and letting it run around. Sure, some road work may be good for a dog.... but 20 mile a day ??? !!!

Cheers.

Huskies who compete do more then 20 miles on a tread mil every day but for a Lurcher that seems excessive free running in my opinion is better then road work for fitness

Perhaps I should have said "theres not a LURCHER in the world", but I agree, free running and working, with a bit of road work is all a dog should need.

Cheers.

I am a very keen runner Myself, My lad always runs with me. I know my main run and how far it is. I do 8 miles 3 times a week. My lad is off lead running about here there and everywhere, and easy does double what I do. The only time he runs at heel is if we see another dog coming other than that he is off doing his thing and notching up the miles. Wouldnt be surprised if he dont get close to 20 miles some days. Sad thing is I get back to the van well and truely knackered, most the time the lurcher is hardly panting. Who said Collie x greys have no wind :icon_eek:

To be fair i dont know anybody who would suggest a collie grey doen't have wind, they are known for stamina....

I know that mate but have read on here many a time a few silly coments to that nature, from the great unwashed
