secretagentmole 1,701
Gerbil where in Cornwall are you? It is just that I find it bleeding hard to believe it is easier to get a gun from Pellpants than it is from Trago at Liskeard! I would seriously try to keep your buying local, cause if it goes wrong you have got a lot of expense to send it back to bleeding Cromer! Trago do air rifles! Honestly, go and have a look. It is well worth your while they currently have the Cometa 300 retailing for £146! Most other places have this at the £200 mark.... Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
I didn't know Trago was still on the go these day's, last one of their store I visited was about 14 years ago in Falmouth, a few hundred yards (if that) from Custom House Quay. Tony ps any manufactured band (especially the boy puff bads are faif game cut out wise) although Bucks Fizz are out as I fanciy Jay Aston summat chronic, ohhhhh what I could do to her Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Trago is still down there in Falmouth Tony but if you are ever down there again go to the one in Liskeard, like massive man, tents, fishing gear, clothes, the works, even has a butchers, greengrocers, bakers and a chippy! Gerbil415 0
Aaah weaver fish! The bane of cornwall's beaches! Although thankfully i've never been had by one! Just seagulls having my pasty! And i'm in camborne mate. A good 15 miles even from falmouth and i have no way or transport except bus or push bike and i don't fancy carrying a gun shaped package on a bus ha! Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Well ask you friends, mother, father, sister, aunt, second cousin, for a lift or get the train and get to Foxhole at St Austell, he has loads of weapons in your price range, probably the best one you can get is the Stoeger X20 synthetic which for a silenced rifle complete with scope for £135 is well worth the money, enough left for a gun slip once you have bought it to get it back on the bus! If you are that worried about brining it back take some black bin liners with you, wrap the box with the rifle in in black bin bags and sellotape, travel back on the bus with no problem! Just make sure you keep the box with you! The other great thing about going there is you get to try the gun! Make sure it is what you like, they have a few rifles in your price range! http://www.martinelw...ry/air-rifles/2 OK, so for what you spend at Pellpax you get gun, scope, pellets, gun slip and a day out down at Foxhole! Just do not buy a Crosman Raven, 6 ft lb junior rifle! He is also very very expensive on his used guns but his Stoegers are at a good price! Edited April 1, 2012 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post
Gerbil415 0
Who knows, i could be able to use this as an excuse to buy 2 rifles? Quote Link to post

And i'm in camborne mate. A good 15 miles even from falmouth and i have no way or transport except bus or push bike and i don't fancy carrying a gun shaped package on a bus ha! I've never stood on one, just brought it up out the sea and grabbed it with my hand. Wasn't long before my little boy arm was fatter than my fathers! Cambourne eh, lovely place, my brother lives in Penryn with his family and a rather beautiful Doctor I used to work with has recently moved back to the Cambourne area. Regarding guns on busses, I used to travel by bus to the rifle range in Hull when I lived in Brough. They never batted an eyelid, and as long as they were kept in the slips they couldn't do anything! Remember bringing my XS-19 back from Leeds by rail Just about every on duty Transport Policeman walked past me and I could feel their eyes burning into me, the platform attendants too. Yet nobody said anything at all. Had a few nasty looks on the train itself though! Tony Quote Link to post
Gerbil415 0
Because i play guitar i could possibly put the gun slip in a guitar case! Ah Camborne is debatable, there's lots of old miners, farmers hard workers etc But i'd say more then half the population are no good bums and scroungers! But visual the area's surrounding camborne are amazing! Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
I like Redruth! The pasty shop up the West End! Best pasties in Cornwall! Edited April 1, 2012 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post
Gerbil415 0
Redruth is just as bad in my opinion. Another thing that's killing cornwall in general is charity shops. Yes i'm all for charity but their taking up big shops in the main street that other people could use as businesses. Also charity shops do not pay i think its taxes or rent. Therefore bringing no money into the town :/ Quote Link to post
