Cleanspade 3,324
yawns seen a few curs, farm collies and pound terriers ratting and bushing heavy cover, just cos your overpriced fancy mutts cant cut the mustard it doesnt mean im wrong i dont doubt it. ive also seen folk take dogs from the pound. that cost more than my dogs. that where not only shite but had issues to boot. not worth the hassle in most cases. ps. my best workers where all around the price of a pound dog. or gifts. why would you assume my mutts would be overpriced 1 Quote Link to post
Carraghs Gem 1,675
my reply was a general one, the overpriced mutts remark was a response to the 1500 spaniel bbb mentioned and i still maintain theres plenty of curs in the pound with tenacity and prey drive to make decent bushing dogs and as for having issues, any dog that has been passed about usually has some issues including adult working dogs Quote Link to post
bobby blackheart 1,209
mate had plummer bitch-wouldnt look at cover-but would fly to ground on both-stay on charlie-come off for "a drink" as we used to call it on the other stuff-but only ever had to drop one hole to her and she would always be clamped to quarry.didnt start until she was neally 3yr old,fat and spayed as pup-this bitch died in the ground at the age of six.R.I.P.-ANY DOG given the chance can make the grade with TIME-MY missis dog used to tag along on my little mooches and started catching rats at 11yr old and did ok-ebt x collie so you never really know. as for a ratting dog bed/whip or bed/fell x thats up in the leg-save your self a lot of digging in the longrun.atb Quote Link to post
