won`t get much better than Parker Hale,,easy to clean and unproofed for 25 quid.

Try a wildcat moderator for your .22 but do remember that a bolt action gun will be quiter than a semi auto. Have one fitted to a .17hmr slighty quiter than the saks moderator fitted on the .22 but all depends on your budget and how quick your rounds are. You will never stop the crack as they break the sound barrier. The bigger the bullet the bigger the crack

I have a dm80 over barrel mod on my finnfire.

whats it like compared to other mods ?

I have a dm80 over barrel mod on my finnfire.

i have a sak and a mod made by an engineer lincon way. the custom mod is slightly quieter than the sak.

how does the dm80 compare to the sak noise wise?

does anyone know where i can get one as they seem hard to come by.

As above, that's what i use on my CZ Varmint , and to be honest, i can't really imagine anything being much quietier when using subsonic ammo

I used to have a Parker Hale on mine but they are a bit heavy so i brought a sako for about £50 i am not sure if it is any quieter but it is alot lighter and it doesnt strip so there is no bother relining the baffles after a clean, you just dont clean it!!!. Had it for about 4 years and it is none the worse for wear so i am happy.
