The Duncan 802
Just in case anyone wants to see the pup I got in November aged 6 weeks and how she;s developed, now she's heading for 6 months. I'm a sucker for a brindle: 1st night, 6 weeks to the day old: 5 months old: As you can see, I'm no David Bailey More David Blunkett. 2 Quote Link to post

The Duncan 802
3/8 bull, 1/8 whippet, 4/8 grey. Not sure sizewise - she looks big next to the pygmy staff, and pretty small next to the 140lb Ridgeback I just measured her/freaked her out a bit- she's 25 1/2 inch tts at present, maybe she'll make 29? she's big enough for rabbiting and general retrieving now so I'm not too worried about her final height. She should find her speed a bit more in the next few months, not that she's a slouch now lol! Quote Link to post

sowhat 1,572
It must be the scottish air, we came up to scotland last week with our 13 week old pup, and every morning she's grow another inch, by the way your pup is a cracking looking pup 1 Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
Thank you all kindly for the positive comments - very much appreciated stocky dog for 5 months atb with it nice dog Yes I find her pretty damn solid for a running dog, certainly a lot denser build than my neighbours greyhound. I hope this doesn't slow her down too much. She's probably a bit 'overkill' just for rabbits and picking up, but I've no fears about how she would cope with teeth if she stumbled across one. She practises striking on the staffs and even the big boy Ridgeback is fair game lol! Hi sowhat - I know what you mean! At that age Roxy was just the same. She seemed to add height overnight! The fastest growth seemed between 6 and 8 weeks. Her tiny little legs seemed to treble in length in a few weeks. Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
Took her for a practise pigeon shoot today - as I was setting the deeks out, she was retrieving them back to my hand lol! Hardly had the heart to tell her to 'leave'. She's getting more confidant with the gun shot noise too. I'm hoping she'll make a decent allrounder. Her hide manners are very good Quote Link to post
