hi everybody, i got these pellets given to me the other day by this crazy old guy i talk to at work

just wondered if anybody could identify them? there yellow with a lump of metal/lead in the end of them.

and would be nice to know what they weigh aswell i dont have any scales.

there .177.... 4.5mm?

also i was wondering will they deposit plastic in the barrels rifling?? will this have to be cleaned out before using lead ones again.???

i was going to do an accuracy grouping test type thing but havent had chance yet got 6-a-side soon :boredom:

any ideas?? lol cheers

No matter mate whenever you change from one pellet type to another you should clean out your barrel that is a must......i think paulus has shown what i was thinking of...also as these pellets plastic skirts are quite hard i doubt much would be left in the rifling but always clean anyway

THROW THE FECKING THINGS AWAY QUICK!

Seriously

I had them "Recomended" to me by Old Man Hutcinson for my low power co2 pistols!

Even at the low velocity these pistols chuck out the pellets, the plastic/polythene melted to the rifling (co2 freezes as it vapourises), after the 1st shot I could see strings of ultrafine black polymer puffing from the barrel!

Took me a bronze brush to get the sh!te off the lands and groves!

I made the foolish mistake of firing all 8 shots from the clip!

That was/is my ONLY TOTAL MUPPET moment!! Use them at your own risk! The flat headed ones are the worst of all (yep mine were the flat headed ones, still got hundreds of them in .177 and my lad got me 4 boxes of the .22 domed/semi-pointed ones for xmas a few years ago, they remain un-opened!

Seriuosly though they are shite mate..you will probably be lucky if you can get 3in grouping at 30yrd's..

More like 3 pellets in a meter group!

The worst plastic types ever wee the ones that came with a plastic case a pellet and an applicator with which you had to pu the plastic cup in then the pellet close the applicator so the pellet was encased then using the applicator load your gun ....Mehta a fukcing palava and their accuracy was shit ...............
