SeanMcD 92
Fished it once before for the pike, shit day to be honest heavy wind and rain. Think i got a sickner tbh. Have been past it half a dozen times from then and theres always lads fishing it. I've stopped and spoken to them and they were catching trout. I'd say there's some big pike in that water, catching them may be another thing. Well that's from what I gathered, maybe someone else that knows it better could give you some sound advice on it though. Atb big pike in the old quarry at the top of wheelers road on the divis mountain if its still there Edited May 14, 2012 by SeanMcD Quote Link to post
paddy polecat 129
I have fished stoneyford on a regular basis for years except for this season, haven't fished it at all yet. For me it has almost always fished well on the worm or spinner but not so much on the fly, my personal best catches from it was a rainbow just over six pound and a lovely brown weighing three & a half pound. Both were caught on a spinner. Quote Link to post
