danby825 11
Right guys how do we all go about getting a young dog "fit ready for the season to come" I'm asking as mine is now 12months and the first year has been spent training, stock breaking and generally letting the pup be a pup when and how do you start getting them fit for there season? I know that everyone has there own way and im sure its been asked before but I just thought it would make a good post alb Lew Quote Link to post

ROB ROY 7
same as all the above but also if you can get your dog to go into water swimming works almost all muscles in a dog. 1 Quote Link to post
neilsherlock 226
I love the road work on the bike. 3/4 Pace for 3-4 miles. I add the odd fartleck training. Great for the feet and tendons, and gets the wind right. Stamina is what i aim for with this type of work as i dont think you can effect the top speed of your dog but you can effect how long he stays there, and how many times he runs at top pace. Best of luck 2 Quote Link to post
