adamb20 22
got this bitch a month ago. she 18 month old 24 tts. She was just kept as a pet and was very unfit, spoiled and imature when i first got her, couldnt jump, or should i say wouldnt jump and poor recall. ive spent the last four weeks bonding with her and getting her fit and she caught her first rabbit yesterday evening in the daylight and i was very impressed with how keen she was. i really feel now that the work is starting to show so couldnt be happier. 2 Quote Link to post
skycat 6,173
Now that is how it should be done: spend time getting to know the dog before trying to work it: well done you. Note: all the other numpties who come on here saying they've just bought a dog and taken it out lamping and the dog either fecks off, or won't retrieve: take a leaf out of this bloke's book and build a bond with the dog before trying to work it. 4 Quote Link to post

Regards your (young dog) thats what it is a young dog.!It can take some dogs till 2 years old to grow up, they can+ will feck about up to then. Even with my dog who is nearly 5, i still give him 5-10 mins training couple times a week, it keeps them in tune with you, and lets them know (your) still boss. ! Quote Link to post
