fox_hunter 1
Hi just put in for my variation for a 22-250 to shoot foxes. I'm looking to see what bullets people recommend for foxing , what bullets rip foxes in half on impact???? Thanks. Arab Youlden Quote Link to post
remi700 99
Im shootin Hornaday v-max 50 or 55GRs which ever i can get. Fantastic round in my rifle. Tryed Remigtons through her when i bought her new but i couldnt get them to group, posibly because the barrel needed broke in but i never tried them again. Would definatly go for balistic tiped rounds. Better kills and much safer then soft points, as far as rippin foxes in half goes it just depends if the bullet strikes bone or not. After that its whatever groups in your gun. Atb Mark Edited March 27, 2012 by remi700 Quote Link to post
baconbuttie 0
Nothing you can put through a 22-250 is going to rip a fox in half. Why not ask your FEO, get his opinion ? Quote Link to post

charlie caller 3,654
I think what the silly fellow is trying to ask is,can we recommend a highly frangible bullet that causes immense explosive damage on impact, well I could, but I wont, with an attitude like that I hope you dont get a .22-250, or an air rifle for that matter. What is wrong with some people if he had said something like provides an instant humane kill I would have gladly helped him, go and talk tough from the corner of your mouth in the pub lad,and tell people how you rip foxes in half, people like you do our sport no favours. 2 Quote Link to post
