neil cooney 10,416
OK Beastmaster, maybe your question was an honest one. The very nature of terrier work means that there's a very slight risk to the terrier. Wether it be injury or death. A terriers courage is the main reason most of us love the little heroes in the first place. BUT, a question like yours is perfect for bringing the idiots out to answer it in a stupid way. The main reason terriers are lost to ground is through accident. 1 Quote Link to post
lurcher330 2,297
I have never known or heard of a fox kill a dog so imho the answer to your question would be NO Quote Link to post
nuggett 58
thats all i can say is its the most gutt renching feeling when you do dig a terrier dead how ever it happens i lost one about 5 years ago apart from loseing a family member there can be nothing worst Quote Link to post
Lab 10,979
Thats the reason i could never do terrier work. Would be shit to get a dog up to a good standard for it to be lost in whatever circumstances. Respect to you lads that choose this sport... Quote Link to post
GrCh 856
if a fox manages to kill your dog, cant of been much of a terrier so frees some kennel space up for next dog. Quote Link to post
Lab 10,979
I wouldn't agree with that one mate. Tight confined space and a decent sized fox could prove a big problem i'd say. Just takes one bite in the wrong place. Quote Link to post
