Beastmaster1980 40
Has anyone ever lost a dog to ground working a fox pre-ban, I don't mean suffocation or cave in's I mean a fox finishing the dog underground. Just wondering if this happens often if at all? Cheers, Rich Quote Link to post

Beastmaster1980 40
I did say pre-ban, so would you say more terriers were lost in the olden days when locators were not around? As for the antis, my question has been answered perfectly so what's the problem, should I not have asked it on an open forum? If so I will remember for next time before I ask a question. Cheers for replies Quote Link to post

Beastmaster1980 40
All I wanted to know was what risk is involved putting a terrier to ground, from your reply there seems to be none? Quote Link to post
gonetoearth 5,144
You question is valid , lets put it into context , put man or beast in harms way the law of averages says there will be fatalities Hope this answer your question , Quote Link to post

trinder 127
Ive been wondering the same thing tbh mate as im new to the digging game , i have no expierence on the matter but my thoughts are that its the dog in the situation , if you have a dog that is very game and has no sense of self preservation and just wants a scrap then its more likely to happen . Where as if you had a bayer/mixer type that would stay out of reach and mix it up when needs be then imo it would be less likely . Like i said im new to digging this is just my opinion not expierence Atb Trinder 1 Quote Link to post
