CityHunter.uK 12
best bet is to log onto falconry sites that sell them and they have the sizes posted. However I agree with the sellers of the plastic boxes that it is better to use plastic due to the risks of aspers from wood Size 25” tall 17” wide 21” deep (63.5 cm X 43 X 51.5) I get mine from http://www.falconfabrication.co.uk/travelboxes.php they are quality boxes and easy to clean Quote Link to post

romany52 313
what would you think of lightweight aluminium one's. light but strong with it. They would be cold in winter and hot in summer, I would have thought. Quote Link to post
dog gone 21
seem to work the exact opposite cool in summer keep the warmth in winter just wondered if there would be much interest in them i know people use the plastic alot but change an all worth a go Quote Link to post
CityHunter.uK 12
Main influencing factor mate would most likely be cost and wether or not corrosion was an issue with the bird muck Edited March 29, 2012 by CityHunter.uK Quote Link to post
grovsey 74
Rubbish as the box needs to.be pitch black inside Quote Link to post
CityHunter.uK 12
so long as there are no gaps and a cover over the vents to difuse any light down why would it not be black in the box Grovsey? Quote Link to post
grovsey 74
Ally is light in colour ie silver so its not going to be in my eyes pitch black ,that is why the plastic ones are black for darkness ,maybe I'm wrong but if it was me is just get a good gitting hood and no need for lugging a big box about and taking room up .a bird made to the hood makes like so much easyier Quote Link to post
CityHunter.uK 12
I use boxes for travelling so the bird is protected from anything falling in my van and hitting the bird if it was just on a cadge with a hood. When out flying I dont bother with a hood or lugging the box Quote Link to post
