That's why a always take a hob out with me, the kills may be good bolters but the hob doesn't get pushed around!

Friggen rats, glad your ferret is ok. I once had that happens but it was with a hob and it wasn't rat, anyway I sent my ferret down the warren and a few minutes later I heard a fair bit of noise then the ferret emerged from the warren panting and wide eyed the poor fella and a bit of blood on him, so anyway we decided to smoke out whatever was in there and a big dirty old Tom cat come bolting out in to the net. Made short work of him, I couldn't of imagine what the poor ferret thought when he ran into him.
